I just wanted to write a note thanking you for the
beautiful nun doll that I received a couple of months ago. I special ordered a
nun doll of the Missionary Sisters of Divine Providence in San
Antonio, Texas. These nuns taught my mom in a Catholic School in the Dallas
Diocese. A few weeks after I ordered the doll, I found some pictures of these
sisters with a different wimple and slightly different habits. Obviously they
had been modified a few times prior to Vatican II. When the doll arrived, she
was beautiful and the details were stunning; however, I almost contacted you
regarding my questions about the authenticity of the habit of this particular
order. Then I found a picture on the internet from the Diocese of Dallas'
virtual museum. I am enclosing the picture of the display for the sisters of
Divine Providence that taught in the Dallas Diocese. As you can see, the habit
on the nun doll I received is exactly like the one in this picture. I could not
be more excited as I prepare to give this doll to my mom this Christmas.

You got all the details in, i.e.: The little crucifix on the cord around the neck under the scapular & the rosary draped over the black belt. The veil is perfect!! I don't know how you all do it! They are absolutely beautiful and will bring me so much happiness for years to come. My Catholic faith has and continues to be a major part of my life. I ordered this doll in remembrance of my 8th grade teacher who subsequently became a very dear and cherished friend throughout the years. She has since passed away. Leavenworth doll that I ordered. It's a beautiful doll. Last year I
bought a Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart doll from you, and I used it in
a display that I put together for the diversity committee at the library where I
work. The display was quite a success, and the doll was a hit. I have received my Sister of Mercy nun doll yesterday and I want to say I am delighted with her. She is just like the real nuns that taught me years ago in grade school. The fabric is just like I remember right down to the pin that they used to wear on the top of their veil . I have always wanted a nun doll since I was a young girl, I am glad I waited. I will always cherish her. Thank you, Ken, I am doing well. I hope you and your family are also. I have quite a collection started....the Poor Clare will be my 10th. They are definitely attention getters in my home. Most of my neighbors are not Catholic and can't fathom why I would collect these, but are very surprised that each is so different. The older neighbors, who actually saw sisters in their habits, were under the impression that they were all alike...black and white and walking in twos. It is a real revelation. Even my Catholic friends are surprised at the uniqueness of each habit. Thank you for making these dolls. Diane Dear Sirs, With your Blessings dolls you spread so much joy. My young granddaughters 10 and 12 were visiting from London England this past summer. They fell in love with the dolls I had. One was an Immaculate Heart sister (my husband's 3 aunts belonged to that order) the other was a Daughter of Charity (to which his cousins belonged). My granddaughters attended Marymount in London and inquired if there was a doll Religious of Sacred Heart of Mary, their teachers. Of course there is a doll and I ordered it for them. The girls were thrilled and so happy to present it to the sisters at their school—who tearfully and gratefully accepted it and shared many happy memories. A few years ago another granddaughter, Erin, was struck by an automobile. As she lay unconscious in the road a stranger placed a medal in her clasped hand. While being airlifted to the hospital she still held it tightly. The medal was of Mother Seton. Erin was severely hurt and had a long recovery—during which I sent her the Mother Seton doll. Thank God she has recovered and is now attending college. And thank you for Blessings. I Just thought you would be interested in just what an impact your work has. Who is the designer, rather expect on the detailing of the religious garb for the doll? The detail of the order is superb. Mine was perfect, right down to the undersleeve of the habit. I must tell you I was an aspirant in this order and my nun doll brings back some very vivid memories. Even though I could not reenter the order of the School Sisters of St. Francis, this doll is a fond memory of my past. It was a Bernardine Franciscan doll reminiscent of the Sisters I knew as a child.
