History
In 1996. Pope John Paul II issued an urgent summons. Observing, in his exhortation Vita Consecrata, the widespread loss of faith had left the world “one great mission land, even in countries of long-standing tradition,” he called on consecrated religious to lead a “new evangelization.” On february 9, 1997, in the private chapel of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, His Eminence John Cardinal O'Connor received, in the name of the Holy Mother Church, the vows of the four founding members of this new religious institution. To signal their unique devotional emphasis, the Community took the name, “The Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. 

Training
From postulancy to final vows, the sisters receive eight years of rigorous study. Throughout these years, postulants and novices study the fundamentals of the Faith as presented in Scripture, the Summa Theologicae of St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, papal writings, and other source documents. They also study Mariology, Church history, spiritual classics, liturgy, and more.

Habit
The sisters wear a white habit, scapular, and cape, with a black veil, belt, and rosary.
